Ceramic tile does not naturally engrave well since the colored surface is very thick and cutting deep enough to expose the backing compromises the integrity of the tile. Then came LaserTile. This product is a ceramic tile that is specially treated during the manufacturing process. There's a sensitive coating underneath the glazed surface that turns dark when exposed to the laser. The results are terrific and the integrity of the tile is maintained even after engraving. LaserTile is available in 4.25" squares and 6" squares. However, we can design an image of any size and laser engrave one tile at a time. So a 3 foot by 2 foot image would be engraved onto 24 of our 6x6 tiles. You would assemble them 6 tiles across and 4 tiles down. Great for customizing your bathroom or kitchen tiling project. At present, we offer off-white tiles only. Color options are very limited. LaserTile provides a broad range of shading and an excellent level of detail. Dark images on the graphic design turn the tile dark when engraved.
