There are dozens of plastic products suited to laser engraving, many developed just for the laser. Some products are obviously plastic, like signs, while other products are developed in combination with plastic, like magnets. Plastic products are available in sheets that are cut with the laser. Some are adhesive backed. Thicknesses vary from .005" to 3/16". When laser engraving plastic we typically remove the top coat to expose the color underneath. Plastic offers many choices colors, so if you don't see the colors that you want, ask us. Depending on the specific item, plastic can provide a fairly broad range of shading and produces very good levels of detail. Dark images on the graphic design are translated into the color that's underneath the top coat, so depending upon the desired results, final proofs may look like photographic negatives.
