What Littermaid models will PERMA-lid fit?

All of them!  The one consistent feature across all models is the size of the receptacle.  Since the covers that hold the receptacle lids are the same dimensions for all Littermaid models, the PERMA-lid will work in all Littermaid models.

How difficult is it to install the PERMA-lid?

It's very easy - you don't even need any tools.  Click here to watch the PERMA-lid YouTube video and you'll see that it can be installed in a few minutes.

What do I do when the PERMA-lid gets dirty?

Since it's made of smooth acrylic, the PERMA-lid is very easy to clean.  Dry clean with a tissue, or wash with warm soapy water.

Will my PERMA-lid need replacing?

Under normal conditions, your PERMA-lid will never need to be replaced.

Why doesn't the cover close after I installed the PERMA-lid?

The PERMA-lid just needs to be shifted a little.  Loosen the two nuts on top of the circle pieces and shift the position of the PERMA-lid until the cover closes properly.  Once it closes, tighten the nuts - careful not to over-tighten.

Do I need to buy a BAG-it too?

No.  The PERMA-lid works independent of whether you use the Littermaid receptacle with or without the BAG-it.  We invented the PERMA-lid because the Littermaid lid was flimsy and would constantly need replacing.  We also wanted a durable, easy-to-clean lid.
