What Littermaid models will BAG-it fit?
All of them! The one consistent feature across all models is the size of the receptacle. Since the BAG-it fits the receptacle and the receptacle fits all Littermaid models, the BAG-it will work in all Littermaid models. Many years ago, Littermaid had receptacles that were not tapered - if you still have that style receptacle, you will need to get one of the newer style receptacles. You can tell by looking at the inside of the receptacle: if the walls have ridges and indentations - it's the new style; if all the walls are flat - it's the old style.

Does BAG-it replace the receptacle?
No. BAG-it sits inside the receptacle and holds a bag open to catch the waste. The receptacle supports the BAG-it, so it's still necessary, but will never need to be replaced.
Anything that's wide enough to wrap around the outside of the BAG-it. Most people use the plastic bags that they get from their grocery store.
Will BAG-it work will the liners that I have?
Absolutely. If you are using liners to wrap around the receptacle, then they will easily fit around the BAG-it. And you won't need to remove the receptacle each time you want to replace the liners.
Does BAG-it come with a clean receptacle to start with?
No. You will need to provide a clean receptacle. If you don't have access to one, we sell the "Whole Kitty Caboodle" which includes a clean receptacle with the BAG-it, PERMA-lid, and a plastic bag dispenser.
I get some litter sitting on the edge of the BAG-it. What should I do?
This is normal. There's a ledge about 1/2 inch wide that will tend to collect a little litter as the waste is raked into the bag. When you lift the BAG-it out to empty the waste, lift it towards the litter box. This will allow the litter on the ledge to fall back into the litter box.
Do I need to buy a PERMA-lid too?
No. The BAG-it works independent of whether you use the Littermaid lid or the PERMA-lid. We invented the PERMA-lid because the Littermaid lid was flimsy and would eventually need replacing. We also wanted a durable, easy-to-clean lid.
Will BAG-it work with the Slide-and-Toss?
No. The BAG-it only works when used with Littermaid receptacles. The Slide-and-Toss does not have the tapered shape that's necessary to support the BAG-it. If you'd prefer to use the BAG-it, then you would need to revert to using a Littermaid receptacle, but it will be the last receptacle that you need.
